Job Summary:

The Lab Technician is responsible for collecting samples, performing laboratory tests, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood, urine, and other body fluid samples.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests (Hematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Serology, etc.).
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Prepare samples and reagents for testing.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results.
  • Ensure proper labeling and safe handling of specimens.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols.
  • Assist doctors and pathologists with test procedures.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and stock inventory.
  • Ensure quality control and calibration of machines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma / Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / BMLT).
  • Valid registration (if required by state regulations).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of hospital lab experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of lab equipment and testing procedures.

Skills Required:

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work in shifts
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety standards

Working Conditions:

  • Hospital laboratory environment
  • May require rotational shifts
  • Standing for long hours

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.56 per month
