Engineering Lab Technician responsible for supporting lab operations, maintaining equipment, assisting in experiments, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Duties And Responsibilities

Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments across various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, and materials engineering

Support engineers and researchers in conducting experiments, tests, and analyses. This includes preparing samples, setting up experiments, monitoring processes, and recording data

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment. Coordinate with vendors for repairs and calibrations as needed

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols. Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain a clean and organized lab environment

Monitor and manage lab supplies and inventory. Order and restock materials and equipment as necessary

Work closely with engineers, researchers, and other lab technicians to support ongoing projects and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration

Provide guidance and training to new lab personnel and interns. Supervise and assist with their tasks to ensure adherence to lab protocols
Requirements
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering technology, Laboratory Science

Professional certificates in related field is preferred.
Experience Required

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within a multidisciplinary engineering environment

Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.

Knowledge of relevant software and data analysis tools

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Ability to lift and move equipment and materials weighing up to 22 Kg
