Altaflex, a division of OSI Electronics, is seeking for a Lab Techician 2 to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for following methodologies: performing routine analysis, monitoring process lines, wastewater treatment system, and performing microsections.


Responsibilities
  • Testing all chemical incoming, in-process, spent process & waste water samples for internal/external use.
  • Responsibility of performing micro-sectioning to measure copper plating thickness, dielectric layers, solder joint quality, and other structural features and provide feedback to managers.
  • Inspect, replenish, analyze and maintain the wastewater system.
  • Prepare laboratory and Micro Sectioning reports to be submitted for customer review
  • Follow appropriate methodologies and SOP’s as required.
  • Label and characterize containers as per the Transportation of Dangerous Goods for proper disposal of spent solutions and sludge.
  • Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.

  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications
  • High School degree required; relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Experience in cross section preparation and analysis desired.
  • 1+ years of micro section analysis experience is needed.
  • Familiarity with microscope and laboratory procedures in manufacturing environment desired.
  • Computer data entry and microscope operation desired.
  • Printed circuit board related experience desired.
  • Ability to read and interpret customer blueprint and specification helpful.
  • Must be able to multi-task projects.
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination, to use technical equipment with accuracy.
  • Must be flexible in working in various departments as needed and support overtime needs.

The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.

Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
