Laboratory Chemist/Technician-Hiring Urgently

Location: Detroit, Michigan

Healthy Analytic lab is seeking junior level Laboratory chemist/technician for a ISO accredited state licensed start-up cannabis testing facility in Michigan providing the testing services including Potency, Pesticides & Mycotoxins, Heavy Metals, Terpenes, Residual Solvent Analysis, Microbial testing etc. for growers and processors. Analytical methods currently include HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, ICP-MS, and PCR plating techniques for testing services. Experience in the Cannabis industry is encouraged but not necessary.

Description of duties and responsibilities:

· Perform laboratory techniques such as sample preparation and data collection & analysis on samples as defined in the laboratory standard operating procedures.

· Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, results, and observations collaborating with senior team members.

· Maintain adequate inventory of laboratory supplies and ensure that all supplies are viable for use in testing.

· Learns and maintains compliance with safety and all applicable legal requirements, standards, and procedures including compliance and state of Michigan CRA Guidelines.

· Responsible for always following the appropriate safety procedures and disposing of waste properly.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (chemistry or biological sciences) with 1-2 years of experience. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.

• Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45000-50,000/yr. (Depending on experience)

Pay: $22.04 - $26.54 per hour
