Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
- DAE in Mechanical Technology from a recognized board.
Desirable:
- B. Tech in Mechanical Technology having 3 years’ of experience in operation, repairing and maintenance of miscellaneous lab equipment related to the field of Fluid Mechanics
Key Responsibilities:
- To carry out daily inspection of equipment wherever required.
- Maintenance and servicing of equipment as and when required.
- To perform various inspection of equipment.
- To report any discrepancies or unserviceability of equipment to the Officer In Charge and ensure it is serviced on priority.
- To set-up the lab equipment before experimental work.
- To ensure that lab equipment and apparatus are in working condition.
- To assist student during experimental work in the lab and ensure that students observe and are aware of safety precautions during the experimental work.
- To hold charge of equipment/apparatus in the lab.
- To keep record of all equipment/instruments of lab in register/ledger and ensure proper documentation.
- To ensure proper cleaning of equipment and surrounding area of lab.
- To ensure Security of lab and proper looking of lab store at the time of closing.
- AII inventories on their charge will be kept neat and clean and in perfect working condition.
- AII lights , computers ,AC's/Heaters and lab equipment must be switched off and then door will be closed
- Perform clerical work related to the lab and when required.
- Marking of limited access areas according to standards.
- Work as team member during various events of SMME.

Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Late / incomplete applications will be ignored.
- Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
- NUST reserves the right to cancel, modify / terminate the recruitment program due to any reason, without notice, at any time.
