Liquid Environmental Solutions is seeking a dedicated Wastewater Laboratory Technician to join our Houston processing facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys chemistry, laboratory work, and environmental science.

As a Lab Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring liquids processed at our facility meet strict environmental and regulatory standards. Your work helps protect water systems, communities, and the environment by verifying that incoming materials are safe to process and compliant with regulations.

What You Will Do

• Receive incoming tanker trucks and verify offloading tickets and manifests
• Perform routine chemical and physical analysis of wastewater and industrial samples
• Conduct laboratory testing to ensure compliance with city, state, and federal environmental regulations
• Prepare laboratory solutions, standards, and reagents according to established procedures
• Maintain laboratory equipment and testing apparatus used for analysis
• Perform quality control and quality assurance testing
• Document results accurately and enter testing data into computer systems
• Generate certificates of disposal and support regulatory documentation
• Manage manifests, bills of lading, logbooks, and regulatory paperwork
• Maintain laboratory supplies and conduct monthly inventory of chemicals and materials
• Clean and maintain laboratory glassware and work areas
• Perform pre-approval testing for customer-submitted samples
• Serve as a technical resource between customers and facility departments
• Assist plant operators during downtime when needed
• Follow all company safety procedures and environmental regulations
• Participate in other laboratory projects and duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

• At least 1 year of laboratory technician experience preferred
• Minimum 3 hours of college chemistry coursework (wastewater experience may substitute)
• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and PPE
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with septic, wastewater, and industrial liquid samples
• Basic computer skills including data entry and Microsoft Office
• Professional attitude and dependable work history

Preferred experience includes:

• Preparing laboratory standards and reagents
• Laboratory report writing
• Operating laboratory instrumentation

• Combination of laboratory and plant environment
• Work performed both indoors and outdoors depending on operational needs
• Exposure to wastewater and industrial liquid samples
• Requires adherence to strict safety and environmental protocols
