LAB TECHNICIAN / X-RAY TECHNICIAN

1. Diagnostic Image Production

  • Produce High-Quality Images: The primary goal is to capture precise, clear, and accurate images (X-ray, CT) as ordered by physicians to aid in diagnosis.
  • Position Patients Correctly: Skillfully position patients, including those with limited mobility, to ensure proper anatomical visualization while ensuring comfort.
  • Optimize Technical Settings: Adjust CT/X-ray scanner equipment, including selecting appropriate KvP, mAs, and field of view, to achieve optimal image quality.
  • Administer Contrast Media: Safely prepare and inject intravenous or oral contrast agents to enhance imaging, while monitoring for adverse reactions.

2. Patient Safety and Care

  • Adhere to Radiation Safety (ALARA): Ensure compliance with all radiation safety regulations (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) to protect patients, staff, and self.
  • Patient Education: Clearly explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and alleviate anxiety.
  • Screening and Verification: Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and screen for contraindications (e.g., pregnancy, allergies, creatinine levels).
  • Supportive Bedside Manner: Provide compassionate care, particularly when dealing with serious pathologies, such as tumors.

3. Technical Operations and Quality Control

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, calibrations, and warm-up sequences on CT/X-ray machines, and immediately report malfunctions.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and evaluate images to ensure they meet diagnostic requirements, reducing the need for repeat exposures.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) for image management.

4. Administrative and Team Collaboration

  • Documentation: Accurately update patient medical records, history, and procedure details.
  • Interdepartmental Workflow: Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nurses to ensure timely patient flow, especially in emergency (STAT) situations.
  • Supply Management: Monitor and restock imaging supplies and maintain a clean, safe, and sterile environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,086.00 - ₹18,952.22 per month
