Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Contract / Travel

We are seeking experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses (RNs) for 13-week contract assignments at a respected hospital. Openings are available for day shift and night shift. These roles are ideal for L&D nurses with strong clinical expertise who are looking for a contract or travel opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
• Manage and support high-acuity obstetric patients, including those with complications.
• Assist with labor, delivery, cesarean sections, and recovery care.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpreting electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) strips.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other care team members.
• Administer medications and interventions per provider orders and hospital protocols.
• Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and documentation standards.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• Must have experience handling high-acuity obstetric patients.
• BLS certification (AHA required).
• ACLS and NRP certifications required.
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and patient advocacy skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in urgent/emergency situations.

Contract Details:

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (day shift and night shift available)
• Status: Contract position – not a permanent full-time role
