Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for competently handling and processing laboratory specimens, ensuring integrity by adhering to laboratory procedures. Serves as a resource for specimen and testing information. Organizes work to ensure positive identification and completes process of transporting, receiving and distributing specimens within the lab.

Involves general guidance and direction by Medical Laboratory Technicians, Medical Technologist, Supervisors and/or Department Director. The employee will be expected to perform job duties in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED required

Prior experience in laboratory setting is preferred
