Laboratory Assistant – Specimen Procurement (Evening/Night Rotation)
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Evening/Night
Schedule: 40 hrs/week (16 hrs evenings 1:00 PM–9:00 PM; 24 hrs nights 9:00 PM–5:00 AM)
Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday
Travel Rate: $1,337.5/week
Local Rate: $1,162.5/week

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Laboratory Assistant – Specimen Procurement for an exciting job in Hyannis, MA.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, label, and distribute specimens.

• Perform data entry, order tests, and retrieve results using lab systems.

• Prepare and ship specimens to reference or internal labs.

• Perform phlebotomy and assist with patient specimen collection.

• Maintain inventory, equipment, and clean work areas.

• Communicate effectively with staff regarding specimen handling and priorities.

• Ensure confidentiality and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of healthcare or lab-related experience (e.g., Lab Assistant, PCT, CNA, Phlebotomy Tech).

• Typing speed of 30+ wpm; knowledge of medical terminology.

• Experience with lab or EMR systems.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Preferred: Phlebotomy certification or prior hospital lab experience.
