As we continue to expand our manufacturing and quality operations, we are seeking a skilled and responsible Laboratory Technician to support our Microbiology and Chemistry laboratories.

This role is critical in ensuring accurate testing, reliable data generation, and compliance with GMP/GLP requirements that underpin product safety and regulatory readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Microbiology & Chemistry Testing

• Perform routine microbiological tests such as bioburden, sterility, endotoxin, and environmental monitoring under approved procedures.
• Conduct basic chemical analyses including pH, conductivity, and other routine quality tests.
• Prepare culture media, reagents, buffers, and standard solutions as per SOPs.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of samples, reagents, and chemicals.

B. Laboratory Operations

• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as pH meters, conductivity meters, balances, incubators, autoclaves, and TOC analyzers.
• Perform routine calibration checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of laboratory areas and workstations.
• Support water sampling and testing activities (Raw Water, RO, PW, WFI) as per SOPs.

C. Documentation & Compliance

• Accurately record test results, observations, and activities in laboratory worksheets and logbooks.
• Maintain media preparation records, instrument logs, and sample tracking documentation.
• Ensure all records meet GMP/ISO documentation and data integrity requirements.
• Report deviations, out-of-specification results, and abnormalities to supervisors promptly.

D. Safety & Quality

• Follow all laboratory safety, biosafety, and chemical handling procedures.
• Use PPE at all times and ensure safe handling of biological and chemical materials.
• Support audit readiness by maintaining laboratories in a compliant and inspection-ready state.
• Participate in training, internal audits, and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) with relevant laboratory experience,

or

• Bachelor’s degree in MLT, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in a microbiology or chemistry laboratory (pharma, medical devices, or related industry preferred).
• Basic understanding of GMP/GLP principles and laboratory SOPs.
• Ability to perform routine laboratory tests accurately and consistently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work in a structured, compliance-driven environment.
