Position Summary:
The Laboratory Courier is responsible for the safe and timely transport of laboratory specimens, mail, supplies, and other materials between Glencoe Regional Health, its satellite locations, and partner or reference laboratories. This position requires adherence to safety, confidentiality, and quality standards to maintain the integrity of laboratory operations. The Courier may also perform emergency or after-hours deliveries, assist with interdepartmental transport needs, and support overall operational efficiency through excellent communication and professionalism.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum age of 21 years required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Minnesota driver’s license (Class D) with a driving record meeting GRH insurance standards.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems and communication tools.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation decisions are made based off of several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification and licensure as well as internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of their hourly range.
Hourly Range:
$17.71 - $23.08
