Employment Type: Full-Time (40hrs) / Salaried

The Laboratory Director will oversee the daily operations and long-term planning of the lab, ensuring all extraction, post-processing, and product development work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in cannabis processing, a deep understanding of i502 regulations, and a proactive approach to leadership and innovation. As this role evolves, additional responsibilities may be added based on operational needs and areas of expertise.

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the lab, including extraction and post-processing workflows for each extraction process team and end product creation/packaging department.
• Ensure all products meet internal and external quality standards and regulatory compliance (WSLCB, DOH, etc.)
• Coordinate QC testing with an approved testing agency for all end consumer products.
• Maintain and monitor lab equipment, inventory, and cleanliness
• Implement and improve SOPs to increase efficiency, consistency, and safety
• Coordinate with the production and sales teams to meet product output goals
• Support R&D efforts for new product formulations or process improvements
• Maintain detailed batch records, test results, compliance documentation, and internal production tracking.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, safety protocols, and regulatory changes
• Maintain current technical knowledge for all extraction processes and upcoming technology changes and advancements.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Background in chemistry, biology, or cannabis extraction preferred
• Familiarity with i502 lab compliance requirements
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
• Clear communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment
• Familiarity with state traceability requirements and internal documentation

This role is designed with flexibility in mind. As our brand expands the laboratory manager may take on additional responsibilities within the company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
