We are looking for a Laboratory Specialist (Coatings) for our growing Coatings & Construction team in Istanbul (Anatolian side)..

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for laboratory projects and technical support activities for our Coatings business in Türkiye, with a focus on industrial coatings and a strong plus for architectural paints.
Formulate coatings and demonstrate good knowledge of raw materials, test methods, and the use of relevant laboratory instruments.
Ensure laboratory safety for all co-workers and visitors (customers, suppliers, IMCD personnel).
Plan and execute lab projects jointly with the Technical Manager according to agreed priorities, technical requirements, and deadlines.
Perform lab-scale formulations, application trials, and performance testing for coatings-related materials.
Document project steps, results, and conclusions using internal tools (e.g., Salesforce, Alchemy).
Analyze test data, prepare technical reports, and develop presentations as needed.
Support customer troubleshooting and provide lab-based technical solutions.
Prepare guide formulations and product highlights along with other technical marketing tools.
Assist in organizing and delivering Coatings & Construction training sessions within the lab.
Contribute to quarterly technical summaries and knowledge-sharing activities within the team.
Purchase all needed consumption items after clearance by the Technical Manager.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory at all times.
Manage laboratory waste in compliance with safety and environmental regulations

Qualifications:

Minimum BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering.
At least 3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in industrial coatings; architectural paints experience is a strong plus.
Strong practical knowledge of formulation work, performance testing, and relevant standards in the coatings field.
Proficiency in using and maintaining coatings testing equipment.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret technical data and project results.
Advanced level of English.
