Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, supervise, and manage all physical model construction activities for hydraulic and coastal engineering projects.

Ensure the timely delivery of physical models in compliance with approved technical specifications, testing requirements, project schedules, and budgets.

Coordinate closely with the Design Team responsible for physical model design development to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of design requirements during construction.

Coordinate with the Workshop Engineer for the procurement and mobilization of materials, specialized equipment, outsourced manpower, and subcontracted services required for model construction and testing activities.

Supervise and manage the Model Construction Technicians and team to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of work.

Organize and optimize the allocation of manpower, equipment, workshop facilities, and other resources to meet operational priorities.

Monitor the progress of model construction activities and ensure alignment with testing schedules and project milestones.

Ensure the proper fabrication, assembly, installation, and preparation of physical models prior to testing operations.

Coordinate with the Plant Engineer and specialist technicians to ensure the readiness and availability of equipment, tools, and testing infrastructure.

Support the troubleshooting and resolution of technical and operational issues arising during model construction and testing preparation.

Manage external suppliers, subcontractors, and specialized service providers.

Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, safety standards, and operational regulations at all times.

Maintain proper documentation, records, material tracking, progress reports, and construction logs related to physical model activities.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to operations, model construction methodologies, and workflow efficiency.

Support the development and expansion of operational capabilities, facilities, and procedures.
Qualifications/Experience:

Master’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Maritime Engineering, or an equivalent field is required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Maritime Engineering, or an equivalent field is required.

Minimum of 12 years of experience in marine, coastal, hydraulic, or construction-related industries.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydraulic laboratories, physical modeling facilities, or specialized construction/workshop management roles.

Experience in managing and supervising physical model construction works is highly preferred.

Proven experience in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams is required.
