As a Clinical Pathologist, you will play a critical role in patient care by overseeing diagnostic testing, ensuring the accuracy of laboratory results, and providing consultative services to our clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory department.
- Interpret complex laboratory data and provide clinical correlations to attending physicians.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) protocols in line with MOPH (Ministry of Public Health) regulations.
- Lead laboratory accreditation processes.
- Supervise and mentor laboratory technologists and support staff.
- Review and approve laboratory policies, procedures, and technical manuals.
Requirements
- Education: MD or MBBS + Master’s Degree/PhD in Clinical Pathology or Laboratory Medicine.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting.
- Licensing: * Must be eligible for or currently hold a DHP (Department of Healthcare Professions) License in Qatar.
- Valid license from the country of current practice.
- Skills: * In-depth knowledge of laboratory automation and Information Systems (LIS).
- Strong leadership and communication skills in English (Arabic is a significant plus).
- Commitment to patient safety and continuous medical education.
