The ideal candidate is a problem-solver at heart—someone who thrives on designing, building, and refining practical solutions. This role merges technical craftsmanship with educational support, requiring a unique blend of innovation and physical skill. The primary purpose of this position is to promote and support education of veterinary students in the clinical simulation laboratories. • Demonstrate clinical procedures and techniques to students and provide constructive, skill-based feedback during practice sessions.

  • Support the scheduling and logistical coordination of laboratory training sessions, practical examinations, and related academic activities.

  • Set up and help to administer objective structured clinical skills examinations (OSCEs).

  • Maintain teaching laboratories, equipment, and storage areas to a high standard of organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness.

  • Utilize a variety of teaching tools—including simulation models, anatomic specimens (cadavers), and live animals—to train students in clinical skills across principal veterinary species (e.g., dogs, cats, horses, livestock).

  • Develop, prototype, and fabricate novel teaching models and simulators; maintain and troubleshoot 3-D printing equipment and software.

  • Oversee the inventory, maintenance, repair, and sterilization of simulation models and related teaching assets.

  • Facilitate the procurement, receipt, and organization of laboratory equipment, supplies, and consumables.

  • Cultivate and maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders in support of the A-State CVM mission.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
