Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our R&D and QA teams in the testing and evaluation of cosmetic formulations and raw materials. This role involves hands-on lab work, accurate data recording, and maintaining a clean and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and test laboratory batches of personal care and OTC products under the direction of R&D Chemists or QA team members
- Measure, weigh, and mix raw materials following detailed formulations and procedures
- Perform basic quality tests including pH, viscosity, appearance, and odor
- Maintain accurate lab records, formulation sheets, and batch tracking
- Clean and sanitize lab equipment, glassware, and tools after use
- Label and organize raw materials, lab samples, and retain libraries
- Assist with inventory of lab supplies and notify team of low stock levels
- Adhere to all company safety, GMP, and quality protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science preferred
- Previous experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Email)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
