Laboratory Technician

Company Description iCura Diagnostics, Inc. is a specialized Contract Research Organization (CRO) and CLIA High Complexity-certified, CAP-accredited clinical diagnostic laboratory at the forefront of spatial biology and translational research. The organization focuses on spatial phenotyping, tumor micro-environment mapping, multiplex immunofluorescence (mIF), IHC, histology, digital pathology, dPCR, qPCR, and next-generation sequencing (NGS). Using advanced equipment and high-resolution imaging, iCura Diagnostics provides next-generation pathology services and comprehensive analysis of samples for scientific teams across the drug development pipeline. Team members collaborate closely with partners to deliver end-to-end support, including method development and validation, sample testing, regulatory compliance, and clinical trial logistics.

Role Description The Laboratory Technician role at iCura Diagnostics, Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Malvern, PA. The Laboratory Technician will perform routine procedures including sample accessioning, sample processing, sample storage management, clinical trial logistics support, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and other common laboratory duties. The role also involves contributing to quality control processes and supporting scientists in ongoing research and diagnostic projects. The Laboratory Technician will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable test results that support clinical and translational research objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related clinical laboratory science field
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with genomics-based testing for clinical samples in a regulated environment (CAP/CLIA, GCLP, GLP, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with lab management, quality, and clinical trial operations
  • Familiarity with basic histology procedures such as tissue processing, sectioning, and staining are a plus.
  • Prior experience supporting clinical trial sample testing is a plus.
  • Experience with molecular assay development and validation is a plus.
  • Experience with project management platforms is a plus.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning in a regulated clinical and research laboratory environment.
