Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare microbiology media needed for testing.
• Perform bioburden, endotoxin, sterility and other microbiology tests of client samples
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Follow Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards to ensure data integrity and compliance during testing activities.
• Maintain detailed records of testing, results, and equipment calibration in accordance with laboratory protocols.
• Support aseptic techniques during cell culture work to prevent contamination and ensure testing reliability.
• Collaborate with team members on assay development, validation, and troubleshooting to optimize laboratory workflows.

Qualifications

• Prior microbiology laboratory experience with a strong understanding of medical device testing.
• Prior testing experience in either bioburden, sterility, endotoxin or BI enumeration is required.
• Experience working within GLP or GMP environments in clinical, medical device or pharmaceutical laboratories is preferred.
• Knowledge of microbiology enhances your candidacy.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent record keeping skills to ensure accuracy in testing documentation.
• Ability to follow strict safety protocols including aseptic techniques and proper handling of hazardous materials.
