Join Purdue University’s Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (ADDL) and play a vital role in advancing animal and public health through cutting-edge diagnostics. As part of the Immunodiagnostics Section, you will perform a variety of laboratory assays, including ELISA for antigen and antibody detection, AGID testing, and direct and indirect fluorescent antibody testing. You’ll also process diverse tissue samples and support virus isolation testing to aid in timely and accurate disease diagnosis.
In this hands-on role, you will contribute to maintaining high-performing laboratory operations by assisting with equipment maintenance and supporting data analysis efforts. Work will vary day to day based on diagnostic case load, offering a dynamic environment where your adaptability and attention to detail make a real impact. You will collaborate with a dedicated team committed to excellence, innovation, and service in support of Purdue’s land-grant mission.

The Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (ADDL) at the Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine, located in West Lafayette, IN. The ADDL is a full-service veterinary diagnostic laboratory that serves the state of Indiana by providing both routine and regulatory diagnostic services to support Indiana veterinarians, animal health officials, livestock producers and animal owners.
