Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Laboratory Technician for a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Qatar. The candidate will be responsible for wastewater sampling, laboratory testing, analysis, and reporting activities to ensure compliance with environmental and operational standards. The role requires hands-on experience in sewage/wastewater laboratory operations and knowledge of standard testing procedures.

Mandatory Requirements & Qualification:

• Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in sewage / wastewater treatment plant laboratory analysis
• Education:
• Diploma in Chemistry or equivalent qualification
• Technical Skills:
• Experience in influent, effluent & sludge sampling
• Knowledge of sample preservation, sample preparation & reagent handling
• Familiar with APHA & USEPA laboratory testing methods
• Hands-on experience operating laboratory instruments & equipment
• Ability to prepare daily laboratory reports & monthly data analysis reports
• Good knowledge of wastewater quality testing procedures
• Mandatory Criteria:
• Previous STP / wastewater treatment plant laboratory experience is mandatory
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Immediate availability preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct influent, effluent, and sludge sampling as per laboratory procedures
• Perform wastewater quality analysis and maintain accurate test records
• Prepare daily laboratory reports and monthly analysis summaries
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and testing equipment
• Ensure proper sample preservation, reagent handling, and compliance with safety standards
• Follow APHA & USEPA testing methods and quality procedures
