LAN Technician (Cabling & Network Configuration)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled LAN Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network cabling, telephone cabling, and configuring network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. This role involves both fieldwork and on-site troubleshooting at client locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, and test structured network cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, etc.).
• Perform telephone cabling installation and patching for PBX/IP telephony systems.
• Mount, organize, and manage racks, patch panels, and cable trays.
• Configure and deploy network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points).
• Conduct site surveys, identify cabling routes, and prepare installation reports.
• Perform troubleshooting of LAN connectivity issues and assist in network upgrades.
• Ensure installations comply with company standards, safety guidelines, and industry best practices.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience in LAN and telephone cabling (minimum 1–2 years).
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet standards, IP addressing, and VLANs.
• Hands-on experience with configuring Cisco, MikroTik, pfSense, SonicWall, or similar devices.
• Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and floor plans.
• Familiarity with network testing tools (Fluke, OTDR, tone & probe, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to work on ladders, lift equipment, and handle cabling tasks.
• Diploma/Certification in IT, Networking, or related field (CCNA or equivalent preferred).

Pay: Rs20,000.00 - Rs30,000.00 per month
