Role Objective
To identify, evaluate, acquire, and manage land parcels required for renewable energy projects (Solar/Wind) while ensuring legal due diligence, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with government regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Land Identification & Evaluation:

Identify suitable land parcels (private, government, leasehold, freehold) for renewable projects.

Conduct feasibility checks considering topography, transmission line proximity, access roads, and other technical parameters.

Acquisition & Negotiation:

Liaise with landowners, farmers, aggregators, and local stakeholders for land purchase/lease agreements.

Negotiate competitive rates and terms to optimize project cost.

Legal & Compliance:

Coordinate with legal teams for title verification, due diligence, and risk assessment.

Ensure compliance with state-specific land laws, environmental clearances, and government guidelines.

Handle registration, mutation, conversion, and related documentation.

Stakeholder & Government Liaison:

Build strong relationships with local authorities, revenue departments, and government agencies.

Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and NOCs to facilitate smooth project execution.

Documentation & MIS:
-
Maintain updated land records, agreements, and contracts.
-
Prepare periodic reports on acquisition status, challenges, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Cross-functional Coordination:

Work closely with Project, Legal, Finance, Engineering, and SCM teams to ensure land readiness for project execution.
