The Land Surveyor is responsible for conducting site measurements, verifying dimensions, preparing layout drawings, and ensuring accuracy in all interior fit-out works. The role supports project execution by providing precise surveying data to ensure alignment with approved drawings and site conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys and take accurate measurements for interior fit-out projects.
  • Verify existing site conditions against approved architectural and MEP drawings.
  • Prepare and submit survey reports, as-built drawings, and measurement sheets.
  • Mark layout points for partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, and MEP fixtures.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors on site measurement requirements.
  • Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings and tolerances.
  • Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions and report them promptly.
  • Maintain surveying equipment and ensure proper calibration.
  • Assist in quantity take-offs and progress measurements for billing purposes.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of interior fit-out processes and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and surveying software.
  • Ability to use total stations, laser levels, and other surveying tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Problem-solving ability on site.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in interior fit-out or construction projects.
  • Knowledge of local building regulations and standards (preferred).

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in commercial, retail, hospitality, or office fit-out projects.
  • Familiarity with shop drawings and as-built documentation.
  • Experience working in fast-track projects.
