The Role
- Conduct site surveys to determine land boundaries, elevations, and contours for building projects. • Prepare topographic, boundary, and construction layout plans. • Set out reference points, benchmarks, and control lines for construction activities. • Verify and ensure accuracy of survey data and coordinates. • Collaborate with project engineers, architects, and planners to support design and construction requirements. • Perform as-built surveys and prepare survey reports for submission. • Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment and instruments. • Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications for layout and alignment. • Assist in monitoring site excavation, leveling, and alignment according to approved plans. • Ensure compliance with local regulations and survey standards. • Maintain proper documentation of survey results and field observations.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or Geomatics. • 5–10 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in building or civil construction projects. • Proficiency in surveying instruments (total stations, GPS, levels, theodolites). • Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, mapping, and construction layout procedures. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and site plans. • Good communication and coordination skills. • Attention to detail and high accuracy in measurements. • Experience in residential, commercial, or high-rise building projects. • Knowledge of local land regulations and property boundary laws
