Overview:
A highly qualified and motivated Land Use Attorney is sought to support clients across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience navigating complex land use, zoning, and development permitting matters. This role requires a deep understanding of local regulatory frameworks and the ability to effectively advocate for clients before governmental agencies and regulatory bodies.

The position demands strong legal judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple active matters in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on land use and zoning matters, including development rights, code compliance, and entitlement strategy
  • Represent clients before local boards, planning agencies, and governmental authorities
  • Support real estate development projects through permitting, project approvals, and related regulatory processes
  • Conduct legal research, draft applications, and prepare supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with real estate, environmental, and corporate teams on integrated development initiatives
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide timely, business-focused legal guidance

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Minimum of 5 years of land use, zoning, and permitting experience
  • Familiarity with regulatory processes and local government frameworks in Miami-Dade, Broward, and/or Palm Beach Counties
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with attention to detail
  • Portable book of business preferred
  • Florida Bar admission preferred or willingness to obtain admission
  • Spanish language skills preferred
