Landscape Architect

Job Summary:

The Landscape Architect will be a key contributor to our consultancy services focused on the preparation and evaluation of performance-based contracts for the maintenance and operation of roads, facilities, and municipal assets in urban areas. With a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, the successful candidate will utilize their expertise to develop innovative landscape design and maintenance strategies that enhance urban environments. This role involves conducting site assessments, preparing comprehensive maintenance work plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and sustainability principles. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background in managing major projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and will be instrumental in creating aesthetically pleasing and functional landscapes that support the overall goals of urban infrastructure maintenance and operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement landscape design solutions that align with performance-based contracting goals for urban infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create integrated solutions for the maintenance and operation of roads, facilities, and municipal assets.
• Conduct site assessments and analyses to inform landscape enhancements and maintenance strategies in urban areas.
• Prepare comprehensive design and maintenance plans, integrating sustainable practices that promote environmental well-being.
• Present design concepts and maintenance strategies to clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine proposals.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards throughout the design and implementation process.
• Manage project documentation related to landscape design and maintenance protocols.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to landscape architecture and urban sustainability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or Landscape Architecture.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or related fields, specifically with major projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Proven experience in developing designs and maintenance plans for urban infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and performance-based contracting in the context of urban maintenance.
• Proficiency in landscape design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Familiarity with local regulations and environmental considerations related to landscape projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional licensing or certification in Landscape Architecture (e.g., Registered Landscape Architect).
• Experience with smart landscaping technologies and sustainable practices.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
