Landscape Architect / Designer – 2-5 Years Professional Experience

Corral Design Group, Inc. (CDG) is currently recruiting for a mid-level landscape architect/designer with an ability to produce quality and detailed designs as directed by Project

Managers and Construction personnel and a desire to grow into senior level design and project management with CDG.

Qualified candidates include self-motivated designers and recent graduates of an accredited university in landscape architecture, architecture, planning, or urban design. Two to 5 years professional experience post-graduation is preferred.

Candidates must be proficient in multiple design software programs (list provided below) and have strong conceptual and final design skills. Candidates must be self-starters and exhibit excellent organizational skills. We have a very dynamic and exciting company that identifies talent and encourages rapid promotion. The successful candidate will have municipal and/or

Department of Transportation design experience.

The following is a summary of qualifications and expectations:

Mid-Level Landscape Designer responsibilities:

  • Design
  • 3D modeling
  • Rendering and Hand sketching skills
  • Producing presentation graphics and presentations
  • Preparation of preliminary construction drawings/documents sets
  • Preparation of cost estimates and calculation back up documentation
  • Reading and interpreting contract documents, special provisions, technical provisions
  • Attending and participating in meetings
  • Client coordination via email, telephone, and in-person
  • Work with senior designers in a collaborative team

Mid-Level Landscape Designer experience and expectations:

  • 2-5 years professional experience in a landscape architecture, architecture, planning, or urban design firm or a public or private agency
  • Strong design skills
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking skills, analysis
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Effective time management skills
  • Leadership qualities and ability to take initiative; self-motivation
  • Ability to take direction
  • Positive attitude
  • Sense of accountability
  • Technical understanding or landscape architecture site development elements

Technical Proficiency in current releases of the following software:

  • Autodesk AutoCAD
  • Bentley Microstation and Openroads
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • 3D modeling (SketchUp or Rhino)
  • Google Earth Pro

Additional experience with the following software is desirable:

  • Lumion
  • ArcMap/ArcGIS or similar GIS
  • Bluebeam Revu
  • Hand sketching

Salary and Benefits:

Job Location/Type: Phoenix, Arizona / Full-time (Core hours negotiable) In-office

Salary: Pay based on skills and experience.
