As we grow our landscape division, we are seeking a horticulture focused designer to help shape the next generation of outdoor environments.
Role Overview
The Horticulture Landscape Designer will play a key role in integrating plant driven design with LEMACON’s architectural vision. You will create sustainable, visually compelling landscapes that enhance site functionality and elevate the user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop landscape concepts, planting designs, and detailed plans aligned with LEMACON’s architectural projects.
- Conduct on-site evaluations, including soil conditions, sun exposure, drainage, and existing features.
- Select plant species based on climate suitability, aesthetics, maintenance needs, and environmental performance.
- Produce professional drawings using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, or similar).
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of landscape and architecture.
- Prepare cost estimates, material specifications, and planting schedules.
- Participate in client meetings and design presentations.
- Support construction oversight to ensure installation matches design intent.
Qualifications
- Degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or related field.
- Strong plant knowledge and passion for horticulture-driven design.
- Proficiency in landscape design and drafting software.
- Excellent design sense, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
- Understanding of sustainable design principles, water efficient landscaping, and native plant use.
