We are looking for creative and analytical Level Designer who can craft engaging, immersive, and well-balanced game environments. The ideal candidate will transform game concepts into fun, playable levels while ensuring strong gameplay flow, pacing, and player experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and build game levels, maps, and missions.
- Ensure proper difficulty balancing, pacing, and progression.
- Implement gameplay mechanics, objectives, triggers, checkpoints, and spawn points.
- Work closely with artists, programmers, game designers, and QA teams to align gameplay with visuals and technical requirements.
- Continuously playtest levels, identify issues, and refine gameplay.
- Optimize levels for performance, usability, and user experience.
- Maintain and update level design documents and layouts.
- Apply player feedback and analytics to improve game levels.
- Ensure levels follow the game’s creative direction and design standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of level design principles, player psychology, and game mechanics.
- Hands-on experience with Unity engine.
- Experience with environment layout, spatial design, and map flow.
- Knowledge of game balance, AI placement, and combat design (if applicable).
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle feedback professionally.
- Experience with mobile, PC, or console game development.
- Knowledge of basic scripting (Blueprints, C#)
- Understanding of lighting, shaders, and visual composition.
- Experience working on live or shipped games.
- Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Animation, Fine Arts, or a relevant field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience 2-3 years
