Landscape - Civil Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Civil Engineer to plan, design, and oversee the civil engineering aspects of landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in civil engineering with knowledge of landscaping requirements to ensure outdoor spaces are structurally sound, functional, and visually appealing. This role involves close collaboration with landscape architects, contractors, and site teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with landscape architects and designers to develop detailed civil drawings for landscape projects, including grading, drainage, irrigation, and hardscape layouts.
• Oversee site execution of civil and landscape works, including earthworks, paving, kerbs, retaining walls, drainage, and irrigation networks.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure the correct setting out of levels, slopes, and alignments in coordination with survey teams.
• Prepare and review material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements for landscape-related civil works.
• Verify that materials used on-site comply with project standards and approved submittals.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors for technical data and compliance documentation.
• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout project execution.
• Identify and report non-conformities, suggest corrective actions, and verify rectifications.
• Maintain detailed documentation and inspection records as per project requirements.
• Work closely with irrigation engineers, structural teams, MEP engineers, and landscape architects to ensure proper interface and integration of works.
• Review coordination drawings to avoid service clashes and ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure all landscape civil works adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
• Promote sustainable and eco-friendly construction practices.
• Conduct site safety checks in coordination with HSE officers.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for civil landscape works.
• Assist project managers in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Participate in site meetings and provide technical input and updates.
• Prepare and review design calculations, layouts, and technical specifications to ensure constructability and compliance with project requirements.
• Integrate civil engineering principles into landscape designs to achieve functional and aesthetic harmony.
• Ensure designs consider environmental sustainability, soil stability, and stormwater management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Additional training or certification in Landscape Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Sustainable Design is an advantage.
• Minimum 4–7 years of experience in landscape and infrastructure projects, with exposure to softscape and hardscape construction.
• Experience in grading, drainage, irrigation network design, and coordination with landscape architecture teams.
• Strong knowledge of civil and landscape construction methods, materials, and standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office, and basic knowledge of Revit or GIS (preferred).
• Ability to read, interpret, and implement technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and site coordination skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Valid Engineer registration or professional license (if required by local authority).
• Willingness to work on-site and adapt to varying project conditions.
• Commitment to sustainable design principles and environmental best practices.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
