What does a Landscape Laborer do at All Terrain?

As one of our Landscape Installers, you’ll learn how to transform existing residential landscapes into outdoor havens of natural beauty. Working under the guidance and direction of your Foreman and Assistant Foreman, you will receive training in a unique multidiscipline field that is excellent for those looking to explore skilled trades.

As a Laborer, you’ll learn how to properly: demo an existing landscape, establish accurate grade, install irrigation equipment, set plants, trees, and rocks, build paver or flagstone patios and walkways, set blocks to make seat or retaining walls, wire low-voltage lighting, and even create stunning water features.

Training on equipment such as trenchers, mini tracks, skid steers, plate compactors and various hand tools will be provided as you progress in your capabilities.

Knowledge and abilities

Basic knowledge of irrigation installation a plus

Basic knowledge of hardscape installation a plus

Basic knowledge of plants and trees a plus

Basic knowledge of water features a plus

Knowledge of proper care and maintenance of tools a plus

Experience with skid loaders and trenchers a plus

Speak, read, write, and comprehend English a plus

Demonstrated strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills a plus

Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work a plus

Essential Functions/Areas of Accountability:

  • Assist in landscape and irrigation installation
  • Basic maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Competent with the operations of skid loaders and trenchers
  • Assists with keeping their trailer and truck clean and organized

Physical/Environmental Demands

Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather. There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED or Vocational training preferred

Licenses/certifications:

Valid Driver’s Licenses is a mandatory requirement
