Landscaper, Lawn Maintenance, Garden Crew- Job Description

Duties

You will be responsible for carrying out general garden maintenance: weeding, pruning,

planting, mulching, and edging. You should be able to operate and maintain gardening

tools and equipment safely and effectively and monitor plant health and pests, if

needed. Ability to support seasonal planting and garden improvement projects. If you can operate large equipment we are a Design Build Maintain operation.

Skills/Abilities

 Ability to follow detailed procedures and follow oral and written instructions.

Ability to respond to situations requiring immediate attention and to daily priorities

that are established.

 Must possess knowledge of standardized work routines and the ability to follow

or give oral and or written instructions involving multiple tasks.

 Ability to operate lawn maintenance equipment.

Qualifications

 Knowledge of all types of landscaping equipment is necessary.

 Operates power lawn mowers and tractors for cutting grass.

 Picks up, collects, removes litter and debris from all ground areas.

 Trims and/or prunes hedges, shrubs, and trees.

 Trim grass with a power edger-trimmer.

 Operates equipment to spray, fertilize and aerate lawn areas.

 Must provide own transportation to and from work.

Working Environment

 Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.

 Ability to walk, stand, crouch as needed with some physical tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
