Responsibilities

• Develop detailed landscape plans and technical drawings using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, ensuring accuracy and clarity for construction teams.
• Collaborate with landscape architects, project managers, and clients to interpret design concepts and incorporate site-specific requirements.
• Prepare layout plans for hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and water features.
• Create planting plans that specify the selection and placement of trees, shrubs, lawns, and other horticultural elements.
• Assist in coordinating irrigation systems, drainage solutions, and other infrastructure components within landscape designs.
• Review project specifications and ensure drawings adhere to safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Support on-site teams during project implementation by providing technical guidance and adjustments as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape drafting or related fields with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD or similar) for creating detailed technical drawings.
• Solid understanding of landscape architecture principles including horticulture, hardscape design, irrigation systems, and site planning.
• Mechanical knowledge relevant to landscaping equipment like lawn care tools, power tools, excavators, and snow plowing machinery.
• Familiarity with landscaping maintenance tasks such as mowing, tree trimming, garden care, and snow removal operations.
• Ability to interpret construction documents and technical specifications accurately.
