Landscape Engineer

A Project Engineer supervises and coordinates the day-to-day activities and progress on a construction site. This includes managing on-site resources, contractors and personnel, and health and safety.

Project Engineer roles and responsibilities include:

• Contributing to the project planning by liaising with the client, contractors, and principal designer.
• Assisting with the procurement processes, planning resources, and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinating site meetings and visits.
• Managing the day-to-day running of the site, including coordinating contractors, monitoring materials, organizing equipment, and scheduling deliveries.
• Supervising the on-site team, including construction workers, subcontractors, and other on-site staff.
• Solving any problems or challenges that arise on-site.
• Monitoring and mitigating any risks arising on-site.
• Managing health and safety, including compliance with UAE regulations, the Health and Safety file, site safety inspections, and addressing any safety concerns or incidents that arise on-site.
• Adhering to quality standards and any applicable building codes and regulations.
• Obtaining relevant permits and licenses.
• Keeping the project to its timescales by managing the construction schedule.
• Budgeting and managing project costs.
• Providing progress reports and regularly communicating with the client and project team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with urgent deadlines.

Requirements and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction management or related field
• Proven minimum 2 years work experience as a Project Engineer in Lanscape works
• Familiarity with construction tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Good analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work for long hours
• Ability to interpret technical documents and blueprints
• Critical thinker and possessing troubleshooting ability.
• Detail-oriented and a team player
