Job Summary
The Landscape Foreman at Sawall Development is responsible for overseeing daily landscaping, grounds maintenance, and winter snow removal operations across company-managed properties. This role leads field crews, ensures properties are maintained to Sawall Development’s standards year-round, and supports safe, efficient, and professional operations. The Landscape Foreman is a working supervisor who performs hands-on duties while directing and training team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance
· Supervise and lead landscaping crews across Sawall Development properties
· Plan, assign, and oversee daily landscaping tasks to ensure timely and high-quality completion
· Perform hands-on landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, edging, planting, mulching, pruning, and seasonal cleanups
· Maintain property grounds to Sawall Development’s appearance, safety, and curb appeal standards
· Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and safe at all times
Winter Snow Removal & Ice Management
· Supervise and coordinate snow removal operations during winter months
· Perform hands-on snow removal including plowing, shoveling, snow blowing, and salting/sanding walkways, parking lots, and entrances
· Monitor weather conditions and respond to snow and ice events as required, including nights, weekends, and holidays
· Ensure all properties are cleared in a timely manner to maintain resident and visitor safety
· Inspect snow removal equipment prior to use and report maintenance or repair needs
· Ensure proper application of de-icing materials and compliance with safety procedures
Leadership & Safety
· Train, coach, and mentor crew members on proper landscaping and snow removal techniques
· Enforce company safety policies and OSHA guidelines year-round
· Operate and oversee the proper use of landscaping and snow removal equipment
· Communicate job progress, staffing needs, and material requirements to management
· Identify and report property issues that may impact safety or operations
· Interact professionally with residents, vendors, and on-site staff
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Minimum of 3 years of landscaping experience; supervisory or foreman experience preferred
· Prior snow removal experience strongly preferred
· Knowledge of landscaping best practices and winter maintenance procedures
· Ability to read and understand work orders, schedules, and property maps
· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
· Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
