Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Landscape Foreman to lead and oversee landscape maintenance and construction projects. In this role, you will coordinate daily operations on-site, supervise a team of landscapers and horticulturists, and ensure that all work meets quality standards and safety regulations. Your leadership will drive the successful completion of landscaping, lawn care, tree care, irrigation, gardening, and horticulture tasks, creating beautiful and sustainable outdoor spaces for our clients. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily landscape maintenance, including mowing, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and pest control to ensure high-quality results.
- Lead landscaping and construction projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
- Oversee tree care activities such as trimming, removal, and health assessments to promote safety and aesthetic appeal.
- Manage irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to optimize water efficiency across various landscapes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on horticulture practices, gardening techniques, and safety procedures.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues early, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain equipment records, schedule routine maintenance, and ensure all tools are used safely and effectively.
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping design or installation projects.
- Strong supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques including mowing schedules, fertilization, aeration, and pest management.
- Familiarity with construction processes related to outdoor projects such as hardscaping or planting beds.
- Expertise in tree care practices including pruning, cabling, removal, and health assessments.
- Understanding of irrigation systems—installation, troubleshooting, repairs—and water management principles.
- Solid background in gardening and horticulture to support plant health and landscape aesthetics.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members toward shared goals.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, team members, and vendors.
