Landscape Foreman

We are seeking a reliable and organized Yard Manager to oversee daily operations within our landscape materials yard. This role is responsible for coordinating vehicle dispatch, assisting customers, supervising yard activities, and ensuring efficient loading and delivery of materials. The ideal candidate is comfortable multitasking, working outdoors, and using computer systems to manage logistics and customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service, Dispatch landscape Deliveries, load customers
• Schedule and dispatch delivery trucks efficiently based on orders and priorities
• Communicate with drivers to coordinate routes, timing, and load details
• Monitor delivery progress and adjust schedules as needed
• Yard Operations Management
• Oversee daily yard activities to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain organization of materials, equipment, and traffic flow
• Ensure safe and efficient loading/unloading of materials
• Customer Service
• Assist customers with product selection and order fulfillment
• Coordinate and help with loading customer vehicles
• Provide accurate information on materials, pricing, and availability
• Computer & Administrative Tasks
• Enter and manage orders in company systems
• Track deliveries, inventory, and customer transactions
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Team Coordination & Safety
• Work closely with yard staff and drivers to maintain productivity
• Enforce safety procedures and proper equipment use
• Help train new employees on yard procedures and expectations

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with Bulk Landscape materials
• Operating Skid Steer, loaders, and other equipment
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Comfortable using computers and basic software systems
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Forklift or heavy equipment experience (preferred but not required)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs as needed
• Standing, walking, and working outdoors for extended periods
• Operating or assisting with loading equipment

Work Environment:

• Outdoor yard setting with exposure to weather conditions
• Fast-paced environment with frequent customer and driver interaction

Pay: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
