Landscape Laborer

Duties

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks including digging, trimming, and installing landscape features
• Support the installation of hardscape elements like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and garden beds
• Perform lawn care activities including aeration, fertilizing, and snow plowing during seasonal changes
• Maintain equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance
• Conduct tree care activities like trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth and safety
• Support general construction tasks related to landscaping projects while adhering to safety standards

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools
• Experience or interest in lawn care, gardening, or landscape maintenance preferred
• Ability to operate equipment such as excavators or snow plows is a plus
• Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant care techniques is advantageous
• Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions carefully and work safely outdoors
• Good physical stamina for lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
• Prior experience in landscaping or construction is beneficial but not required; training provided for motivated learners
