Landscape Laborer

Job Overview: Maintain and improves outdoor spaces by mowing lawns, trimming plants, edging, removing weeds, and keeping properties clean and well-kept. They may also handle seasonal tasks like leaf removal, planting, and basic landscape upkeep to keep grounds looking professional.

Duties

• Assist with landscape installation including planting trees, shrubs, flowers.
• Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks like mowing lawns, trimming trees and bushes, edging beds, and applying mulch
• Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (weed eaters, blowers) safely and efficiently to complete daily tasks
• Support irrigation system installation and repairs to ensure proper watering of landscapes
• Maintain equipment and tools regularly to ensure safety and optimal performance
• Follow safety protocols at all times while working with machinery or in construction zones

Qualifications

• Prior experience or familiarity with landscaping tasks or outdoor maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus for operating power tools and small machinery safely
• Basic understanding of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance, horticulture principles, and tree care techniques
• Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely in various outdoor tasks
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in different weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects when needed
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward safety and quality
• Willingness to learn new skills related to landscaping, construction, irrigation systems, snow plowing, or hardscape installation
