Duties

• Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to promote healthy turf growth.
• Maintain landscape features such as planting beds, shrubs, trees, and hardscape elements like pathways and patios.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for trimming, pruning, planting, and general landscape maintenance.
• Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and sometimes using equipment like an excavator for larger projects.
• Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of landscapes.
• Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe.
• Support construction projects involving landscape installation or hardscape features as needed.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping machinery and hand tools effectively.
• Experience with lawn care techniques such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration.
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including pruning, planting, irrigation, and garden care.
• Familiarity with landscaping design principles and hardscape installation is a plus.
• Ability to handle power tools safely and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Understanding of horticulture principles to promote plant health and growth.
• Experience with tree care activities like trimming and tree trimming equipment operation.
• Ability to perform snow plowing operations confidently during winter seasons.
