Job Summary

LANDSCAPE SPECIALIST

As a Landscape Specialist on our Wilmington crew, you'll maintain and enhance commercial properties across the area — keeping lawns, plants, and outdoor spaces looking their best for our clients year round. You'll work alongside a solid team, interact with clients on site, and play a direct role in the quality of work GreenView delivers every day.

Job Responsibilities

• Care for lawns and plants using a variety of tools, including rakes, saws, shovels, trimmers, axes and pruning saws, to ensure they remain aesthetically pleasing.
• Mow the grass using edgers and mowers, keeping it at an optimal height.
• Keep plants and flowers healthy by pruning and trimming trees and shrubs and weeding, mulching and aerating.
• Plant new grass and foliage following planned designs to create the yard as prescribed by the client and/or landscape designer.
• Fertilize the lawns and plants and apply any herbicides or pesticides to keep the foliage healthy and thriving.
• Monitor the sprinkler system to ensure it regularly waters the lawns and reset it as necessary, as well as water by hand when needed to maintain the health of the plants.
• Keep flower beds and garden areas clean by picking up any dead branches and flowers as well as trimming or picking the plants as needed.
• Assist in placing decorative rocks, stones, statues and other items around the lawn to facilitate the completion of the overall aesthetic look.

• Able to work safely and independently while maintaining quality and thoroughness

• Stays focused and alert while operating equipment for extended periods of time
• Customer service driven — interacts professionally with clients on site
• Able to follow plans as shown on a map of property
• Can work outdoors in any environment for 8–10 hours a day, walk for long periods, and lift 50–80 lbs regularly
• Must wear PPE on all job sites
• Reliable transportation required
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

Preferred qualifications:

• Commercial landscape experience
• Valid driver's license with 3+ years of driving experience
