Landscape Supervisor

We need Landscape Supervisor manages field operations, crews, and resources to install and maintain commercial or residential landscapes, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. They supervise site tasks (planting, grading, irrigation), train staff, maintain equipment, and often act as the primary client contact.

Key Responsibilities

• Crew Leadership: Supervising, scheduling, and training landscaping staff to perform tasks efficiently and safely.
• Project Execution: Overseeing planting, sod installation, irrigation, and landscape maintenance to meet design specifications.
• Resource Management: Procuring materials, plants, and supplies; coordinating equipment usage.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforcing health and safety regulations (PPE), monitoring site conditions, and ensuring environmental compliance.
• Client Relations: Acting as the primary point of contact for project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conducting and overseeing the preventive maintenance of tools and machinery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Generally 5-15 years of experience in landscaping or horticulture, with experience leading teams.
• Knowledge: Thorough understanding of horticulture, soil science, pest management, and landscape construction techniques.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret landscape drawings, specifications, and layout plans.
• Equipment: Proficiency in operating equipment such as skid-steer loaders, mini-excavators, and small power tools.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
