Landscape Team Member

Overview: River’s Edge Lawn and Landscape is a small locally owned business, servicing Owensboro for over 30 years. We are a full-service lawn and landscape company; mowing, turf care, shrub pruning, mulching, landscape design and install; hardscape, seeding, irrigation, and snow clearing. We value our customers and want to provide exceptional service for them and that starts with building our team. Job Summary: Our crew and crew leaders are the face of our company, you interact with the customer most frequently. The landscape crew will work with 1 to 3 other team members on various landscaping and hardscaping projects. You will work off a route list provided by management.

Responsibilities:

• Use equipment responsibly to perform jobs assigned.
• Use tablet to communicate work completed.
• Landscape work includes (but not limited to) shoveling mulch, gravel, dirt, rock, pruning shrubs, cleaning up debris, planting shrubs, installing drainage, installing irrigation, installing hardscaping, hanging Christmas lights, etc.
• Team Leads will lead a team to complete jobs professionally.
• Work in a safe and professional manner.
• Drive company truck/trailer to and from jobsite(s).

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Outdoor labor: 1 year (preferred).
• Landscape/Hardscape Experience: 1 year (required).
• Must be at least 18 years old, posses a valid driver’s license, and have an insurable driving record.
• Physically able to work outdoors in extreme heat/cold, use equipment (such as edger, commercial mower, blower, chainsaw, line trimmer, etc), and be able to lift 60lbs.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• High attention to detail.
• Must be able to communicate with team member and customers (in English).
• Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving.
• Ability to use technology (tablets, cell phones) in order to receive work instructions.

River’s Edge Lawn and Landscape is a locally owned, small business. This means we don’t offer health insurance, but we do offer more flexibility than working in a big business environment.
