Landscape Technician

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to ensure healthy and vibrant outdoor spaces.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as excavators safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects.
• Conduct lawn care activities like aeration, overseeding, and weed control to promote lush turf growth.
• Implement irrigation systems installation and repairs to optimize water efficiency across landscapes.
• Carry out tree care including trimming, pruning, planting, and removal to maintain safety and aesthetic appeal.
• Assist with hardscape projects such as installing patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other construction elements.
• Support snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible.
• Maintain equipment through routine inspections and basic repairs to ensure reliable performance on all job sites.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools, power tools, and landscaping machinery.
• Prior experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance or gardening is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with landscape construction techniques including hardscape installation.
• Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant care best practices.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators safely and effectively.
• Strong understanding of tree care practices including trimming and pruning.
• Excellent physical stamina with the ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform strenuous outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for collaborating effectively on projects. Pay: $22.72 - $27.37 per hour
