Landscape Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves performing various tasks related to lawn care, groundskeeping, and tree care, ensuring that our clients' outdoor spaces are healthy, attractive, and well-maintained.

Duties

• Utilize hand tools and equipment to perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Conduct groundskeeping duties such as planting flowers, shrubs, and trees while ensuring proper irrigation practices.
• Maintain gardens by weeding, mulching, and applying fertilizers as needed.
• Dig holes for planting and transplanting trees or shrubs while adhering to best practices for tree care.
• Operate mechanical equipment safely and effectively for various landscaping tasks.
• Regularly inspect landscapes for signs of pests or disease and report any issues to management.
• Collaborate with team members to complete landscape projects efficiently and effectively.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance or related fields is preferred but not required.
• Must have previous knowledge of how to use a mower.
• Strong knowledge of lawn care techniques, including irrigation systems and pest management.
• Familiarity with hand tools used in landscaping such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and blowers.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus for operating landscaping machinery.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of quality in all work performed.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
