Landscape technician

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including weeding, trimming, pruning, and edging to ensure pristine appearance
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, removal, and other landscaping activities
• Operate equipment as needed for various jobs.
• Maintain homes by planting new flora, mulching beds, and caring for trees through trimming and pruning
• Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering of lawns and gardens
• Execute hardscape projects like installing patios, walkways, or retaining walls with precision and care
• Conduct routine lawn care including removing vines, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to promote healthy growth

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping equipment and power tools
• Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices
• Knowledge of tree care techniques such as trimming, pruning, and health assessment
• Ability to handle construction-related tasks involving hardscape installation or excavation work
• Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and maintenance for efficient water management
• Skilled in the use of hand tools like shovels, rakes, pruners, as well as power tools such as chainsaws and blowers
• Ability to work well with others and perform various tasks outside in the heat.
• Good understanding of plants and design a plus
• Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members for any project needs.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
