Landscape Technician

Duties

• Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to ensure healthy and attractive turf
• Maintain landscapes through pruning, trimming, planting, mulching, and garden bed upkeep
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators for landscape installation and hardscape projects
• Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal to promote safety and aesthetic appeal
• Install irrigation systems and perform routine maintenance to ensure efficient watering of landscapes
• Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible
• Support construction projects involving hardscape features like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other landscape structures

Requirements

• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience handling hand tools and power equipment
• Prior experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance or gardening preferred
• Knowledge of horticulture principles and landscape design concepts
• Ability to operate machinery such as excavators safely and effectively
• Familiarity with tree care practices including trimming and pruning techniques
• Strong work ethic with a focus on safety procedures during construction or maintenance tasks
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward outdoor work in various weather conditions
