Landscaper

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscaper to join our dynamic team dedicated to creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor environments. ABOUT DC RANCH:

DC Ranch is an award-winning, 4,400-acre 501(c)(4) community located adjacent to the McDowell Sonoran Preserve in north Scottsdale, Arizona. The community is composed of 25 diverse neighborhoods within four distinct villages that interact with shared open spaces to create a sense of living with the land. The first home was completed in 1997, and there are currently 2,800 homes and approximately 7,000 residents on the Ranch. Home prices range from $1 million to more than $23 million. The business is managed utilizing 18 cost centers (neighborhoods), while overseeing 10 sub-associations.

DC Ranch is governed by three entities: DC Ranch Community Council, Ranch Association, and the Covenant Commission. All three entities work toward the same goal: to serve residents and create a community that is beautiful, functions well, and creates a deep sense of belonging.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute landscape installation projects including planting, hardscape construction, and garden bed preparation using hand tools and power tools
• Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to ensure lush, healthy turf
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning trees and shrubs, trimming hedges, and performing tree care to promote growth and safety
• Operate equipment including excavators, snowplows, irrigation systems, and other machinery safely and efficiently
• Conduct gardening activities such as soil preparation, planting new flora, mulching, and watering to support plant health
• Carry out snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access for clients
• Install and repair hardscape features like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
• Perform routine landscape inspections to identify issues requiring attention or repair
• Assist with horticulture practices by selecting appropriate plants and maintaining their health through proper care techniques
• Support overall landscape maintenance efforts by using hand tools and power tools with precision

Qualifications

• Proven experience in landscaping or related construction fields with a strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices
• Mechanical knowledge related to operating lawn care equipment, excavators, irrigation systems, and power tools
• Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant care, tree trimming, gardening techniques, and tree care practices
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
• Familiarity with snow plowing equipment and techniques is a plus
• Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and performing physically demanding tasks
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients effectively

Pay begins at $19.00 an hour. DOE $19.25
